Having not been been in contact with my folks and siblings for about 10
years I found it a bit worrying when I spoke to a relative
of mine that I found on the internet and he informed me that my old mans brother had a triple
bypass surgery and his sister had a pace maker put in.
The fact that both of them had heart problems instantly placed me on code
red for any potential issues that might signify a potential heart condition. My first instinct wasn’t to instantly go out and purchase a Zoll M
defibrillator on the off chance my chest went into fibrillation but I did get a bit paranoid.
I had just placed my business on the shelf for a while and had been comfort eating a bit, which had put the weight on, 14 stone at 6 foot for me isn’t a healthy weight. It
might have been stress but I began to be concerned about a ache that I was
getting in my chest.
Anyway a blood test at the doctors later told me that my blood cholesterol were to
high and the Doctor told me I was on the borders of needing drugs to bring] my
cholesterol level down because of my attacks (though she informed
me there was no evidence that a parents brothers and sisters effected their progeny).
Snap out of it!!!! straight away i removed from my diet butter, cheese (love cheese!) and didn’t eat chocolate
or anything that had a high fat content. Increased foods that helped with cholesterol (stuff from the supermarket nothing stating super
powers) and began Mountain biking to the then new job (ten miles there and back off road, 14 miles by tarmac).
I purchased a set of scales that initially showed my fat levels being 25 or 26 which was much to
high I now have it down to 20-21 which is normal. I am now 12 and a half stone and once again
my original athletic self. I haven’t been back to the doctors and no longer feel the
silly need to rent a Zoll M defibrillator on the off chance, because I am confident my cholesterol levels are
back where they should be even allowing myself chocolate, cheese and butter in sensible amounts.
If you believe that you weigh to much or have a very sedentary life and feel without energy think about what you eat and begin exercising it wont take
long (about a year for me) to have a real effect to your existence.
