EA Active—New Wii Workout Game

The EA Sports Active Personal Trainer is ready for release.Do you need more variety from your Wii workouts?  EA Sports has developed a new exercise game for the Wii gaming system that will expand your ability to exercise with your Wii.Wii Fits is lacking many of the unique features of EA Sports Active.If you are serious about fitness, this is one video game that will help you achieve your fitness goals.

EA Sports collaborated with Bob Greene to create a exercise game that is challenging yet can work for anyone.Bob Greene is know for being Oprah’s personal trainer and is author of the bestseller, The Best Life Diet, as well as other diet and fitness books.Bob Greene even provides players with a personal pep talk as they begin the game. 

How does this game differ from the Wii Fit game?Separated into three main sections, nutrition, lifestyle, and fitness, the EA Active game primarily focuses more on fitness exercises than games and game play.The main core of the program is the fitness section.  Unlike Wii Fit, EA Active allows for 2 players to interact with the game at the same time.  Now you can have an exercise buddy join you in your workouts.

The game comes with a controller leg strap which allows the player to connect the nunchuck controller to his thigh.  Then exercises like jogging and boxing can take advantage of the nunchuck’s motion sensing capabilities. Also include with this video game is a resistance band that adds more difficulty to shoulder lifts, biceps curls and other exercises.  The Wii balance board is not included with the game.  However, it is compatible with EA Sports Active and adds more functionality to many of the exercises.
